Fun with Friends and the Fair

We had lots of fun last week. Preston enjoyed a movie night with Ellie Claire (the pull-out couch was the highlight of the night)! The kids and I rode on a trailer in the South Edmonson section of the parade and threw out candy. Then, Preston rode rides at the fair with Emma Kate and Macy, while Marian and Abby hung out in their strollers with Ashley and me. They had a blast! Grandparents are GRAND!

My kids are so blessed to have many wonderful grandparents in their lives! We know they are getting older and some of them are in poor health, but we are so thankful they are still a part of our lives! Here are some recent pics of some of them. Preston got to eat lunch with Mamaw and Mimi (and Granmama) at school to celebrate Grandparent's Day. He also got to ride the wagon at the Richards Reunion last weekend, while Papaw Richards drove the great-grand kids around the farm.

Preschool for Preston

A couple of reasons why I love that Preston goes to preschool...

He loves to help me in my classroom in the mornings, before school starts (pictured below with his best friend, Emma Kate).

He leaves me sweet notes/pictures on my board (family pic, complete with a rainbow).

I'm so blessed to be his mommy!

A few reasons why I LOVE 3-day weekends!

1st Day of Sunday School

Today was my sweet 15 month old girl's first day in the little Kid's Sunday School class. We decided to give it a try today since she is no longer content sitting in my lap during the adult class. It makes me a little sad not to get to hold her during class anymore, but I'm also looking forward to being able to pay more attention in Sunday School and learn more about the Bible. Mrs. Eleanor said she sat in her chair the whole time and did great! Now, we just need to work on NOT eating the crayons...

Here's a sweet picture of Marian and me with our best friends from church (Ashley and Abby) taken after church today. Today was also Ashley's birthday. :) We're so blessed to have great friends who share our important beliefs and values.

BFF's

Yesterday, we celebrated a sweet baby girl's 1st birthday. Claire is the daughter of my best friend since middle school. We are almost 5 months apart in age and now our sweet girls are just 3 months apart. It's too bad they won't get to grow up in the same schools together, but I still think they'll have lots of fun playing when we can get together! I just love this sweet baby! I'm so glad we got to be together to celebrate her special day!
